the (trans)cribe spring lineup

One of my favorite parts of the zine world is zinefests! Zinefests are usually smaller organized markets where zinesters can come together in the name of zines. It’s so much fun to gather with talented humans making cool stuff, talk about our work, trade and swap zines, and be able to distribute our wares. I love the DIY vibes that many smaller fests have, and the collaborative spirit that generally permeates the spaces. I love effectively passing the same $5 bill around the room as we purchase from each other’s tables. Zinefests have also allowed me to travel to new places and have new experiences that I would not otherwise be able to have. This spring, I am lucky to be taking part in a couple zinefests across the Midwest– and hopefully more to come as the year goes on!

Right now, I am confirmed to vend at:

  • April 5th- Detroit Zinefest

  • April 12- Lansing Zinefest

  • April 26th- South Bend Zinefest

  • May 17th- Halftone Zinefest

I’ll also be doing some zine workshops and vending at local events this spring. My dream clients and collaborators are community groups, artists, youth groups, punk rockers, readers, writers, creatives, rebels, weirdos, and anyone genuinely dedicated to being a part of a Queer future. You can read all about my workshop offerings on my work page (Gender Ecology Explorations, DIY/Zine 101, and What’s a Zine (zine history))! Also- If you know of any cool spaces looking for vendors or pop-ups, please reach out! At present, I have scattered availability through early June– though my Pride Month is already starting to fill up! (Very much thankful for a community rallying together to show up this year so far in advance.

Here’s my current zine events calendar for spring 2025 so far!

  • March 12th- Gender Ecology Exploration Workshop

  • March 15th- Say What You Mean & Do It Yourself: Zine-making 101

  • March 29th- Trans-Farm-Ation @ Ramshackle Farm

If you’re interested in booking me for a workshop or event, please feel free to fill out my interest form and I’ll get back to you shortly! All my workshops have materials provided, can be tailored to group interests, and are always offered on a sliding scale for accessibility.

I’m excited for a season of travel, meeting cool humans, sharing my work, and collecting even more zines than I ever thought possible! Thanks for being here and supporting my work!
