Gender Ecology Exploration Sessions
60-90 minute in-person and virtual sessions available
Using Gender Ecology Field Guide and Zines, we will work together to build a brave and creative space for where we explore how we experience gender in our everyday lives and how we are connected to each other and our environments. These workshop sessions use engaging prompts and creative outlets to help participants better understand themselves beyond the labels. After a brief introduction to the concept of Gender Ecology, we typically complete the activities in the Gender Ecology zines independently and then share in a larger group to our comfort levels.
Each Gender Ecology Exploration session is unique to the group of people partaking in it. We can use any or all of the five Field Guide zines to explore our genders in a way that feels soft, warm, accessible, and non-judgmental. Session add-ons include:
a curated selection of zines and books from the Little Queer Library for participants to browse
a DIY make-your-own zine exercise using prompts from the GE series
